Who is Puncakdana? The company behind the projects
Puncakdana was established in 1996 and began as a developer of condominiums in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya [1]. Its earlier projects include Puncak Seri Kelana Condo, Puncak Nusa Kelana Condo, Dana 1 Commercial Centre and D13 Office Tower, and it developed Citta Mall in 2010 [1]. Chuah Chong Ewe has been executive director since 2016 [1] and was still in the role in 2025 [6]; The Edge reported in 2022 that he is a major shareholder of both Puncakdana and Luster Industries Bhd [2].
In Ara Damansara, Puncakdana Sdn Bhd built AraTre' Residences next to the Ara Damansara LRT station, on a 2.67-acre leasehold tract first acquired about 20 years earlier under a joint venture with Yayasan Selangor [1]. Myara Park, launched in 2022 [2], is registered with KPKT under PD Ara Sdn Bhd. Puncakdana bought a 2.35-acre freehold parcel in Ara Damansara through Luster Industries in March 2022, to be developed by Luster Ara Sdn Bhd [2], a 50.1%-owned Luster subsidiary [3]; KPKT registers Amara Residences under Luster Ara.
The Edge reported in 2025 that Arra Residences is Puncakdana's RM1.18 billion freehold project on 4.15 acres, with three 32-storey residential towers totalling 1,275 units and an office tower [6]; KPKT so far registers two Arra Residences projects, with 500 and 350 units, under SD Ara Damansara Development Sdn Bhd. Outside Ara Damansara, Daun Villa in Sepang — 80 terraced homes and 338 townhouses — is the first phase of a 62-acre Puncakdana development [5]; KPKT registers it under Jade Classic Sdn Bhd, in which Luster Industries agreed in 2019 to buy a 51% stake [4].
