Who is Maxim? The company behind the projects

Maxim Global Berhad was incorporated on 4 December 1968 as Pacific Chemicals Berhad and listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange on 22 December 1970 [2]. It later became Tadmax Resources Berhad and took its present name on 3 November 2020 [2]. Its main business today is developing affordable and mid-range homes [5]; the head office is in Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya [1].

Tan Sri Datuk Seri Gan Seong Liam, who has been in property development since 1985, joined the board in February 2019 and became managing director in August that year [1]. The company's website now lists him as executive chairman and his son Gan Kuok Chyuan as managing director [4]. Maxim Holdings Sdn Bhd — then a private property developer, now a Maxim Global subsidiary — marketed Maxim Citylights in Sentul and Maxim Residences in Alam Damai, Cheras [1]. KPKT registers those two projects under Meridian Maxim Sdn Bhd and Trillion Maxim Sdn Bhd, which the annual report lists as related companies with common directors, not subsidiaries [1], so they are not counted in the table above.

Its projects on PropertySifu are registered under group subsidiaries: Maxim Risen in Taman Desa Aman, Cheras, under Builtamont Development Sdn Bhd, 55% owned; The Atas in Taman Desa under Kaisar Maxim Sdn Bhd, wholly owned; and Maxim D'Parc in Alam Damai, Cheras, under a wholly owned subsidiary with KPKT developer code 31046 [1]. Residensi Maxim Pelangi in Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru, launched in November 2025, is the group's first project in the southern region, and in 2025 the group bought about 47.35 acres in Johor and Pahang, outside its existing core regions [1].
