Who is TA Global? The company behind the projects
TA Global Berhad was registered in Malaysia in 2008 and was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia as a subsidiary of TA Enterprise Berhad, its ultimate holding company [1]. In 2020 TA Enterprise made a voluntary take-over offer for the TA Global shares it did not already own and moved to compulsorily acquire the rest [4]. TA Global was removed from the Official List on 12 January 2021 [2], and TA Enterprise itself was delisted on 30 March 2021 [3].
Its last annual report as a listed company, for the 2019 financial year, named Datuk Tiah Thee Kian as executive chairman and Tiah Joo Kim as chief executive officer [1]. Tiah Thee Kian joined TA Securities in 1987 and initiated TA Enterprise's public listing in 1990 [1]. Tiah Joo Kim was still chief executive in 2024, when the company said its launches over the next 10 years would carry a gross development value of more than RM20 billion [5]. The registered office was at Menara TA One on Jalan P. Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur [1].
The 10 KPKT projects sit under four wholly owned subsidiaries listed in the 2019 annual report [1]: Indo Aman Bina, developer of Damansara Avenue, where Amaya Residence is registered as Ativo Annexe (Residensi Damansara Avenue 1); Orchard Park, whose Alix Residences is registered as Residensi Dutamas; Factor Synergy, developer of Idaman Hills in Kluang, Johor; and TA First Credit, a former money-lending company [1]. TA First Credit is developing CloutHaus KLCC on Jalan P. Ramlee — two towers with 615 serviced apartments and 242 private residences plus a hotel [5] — registered with KPKT as Menara TA First.
