Who is UOA? The company behind the projects

UOA was founded in 1987 as United Overseas Australia Ltd, which listed on the Australian Stock Exchange that year, and it has been headquartered in Kuala Lumpur since 1989 [3]. Its managing director, Kong Chong Soon @ Chi Suim, co-founded the company [1]. On 8 June 2011 the group listed its construction and development arm, UOA Development Bhd, on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia [4][3]; United Overseas Australia, listed in Australia and Singapore, remains the ultimate holding company [1]. The chairman is Kong Pak Lim [1].

UOA says that, as at 31 December 2025, it had completed and delivered projects with a gross development value of more than RM21.5 billion, and held a land bank of about 80 acres to be developed over the next 10 years [3].
