Who is UDA? The company behind the projects
UDA was set up by the government on 12 November 1971 as the Urban Development Authority, to drive planned urban development in business, industry and housing [1]. It was incorporated as UDA Holdings Sdn Bhd on 20 June 1995, became UDA Holdings Berhad and was listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1999 [1]. In 2007 it was delisted from Bursa Malaysia and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional, which transferred all its shares to the Ministry of Finance Inc. the following year [1]. UDA comes under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) [14], and its head office is at Kompleks Pertama on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur [1].
UDA's townships include Taman Tun Dr Ismail in Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn in Selangor, Bandar Baru UDA in Johor Bahru and Bandar Baru Bertam in Kepala Batas, Penang [3]. The group has four core businesses: property development (UDA Property), property investment and management, hospitality (AnCasa Hotels & Resorts) and facility management (UDA Dayaurus) [14]. Its homes are built through regional UDA Land companies, whose chief operating officers are listed on UDA's leadership page [2]; in Johor, the company says UDA Land (South) Sdn Bhd has developed nearly 9,000 residential and commercial units [12]. That company figure includes commercial units, while the KPKT register counts only licensed housing projects. In Alor Setar, UDA Waqf Sdn Bhd is developing Mawar @ Taman Sultan Sallehuddin on waqf land with the Kedah State Islamic Religious Council [9].
On PropertySifu, 38 Bangsar Residensi is listed by UDA Property as its own project, Residensi 38 Bangsar [4][11]. KPKT registers it as project 14069-2, 278 serviced apartments under One JSI Development Sdn Bhd, completed with a CCC on 8 September 2025 and handed over on 17 September 2025. The Stride Strata Office is part of Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) on the former Pudu Jail site [15][16]. Its developer, BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, is a joint venture in which UDA and EcoWorld each hold 40% and the EPF 20% [15]; because UDA does not hold a majority, BBCC Development's KPKT records are not counted in the table above.
UDA's chairman is Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini [2]. Dato' Sri Ahmad Fuaad Kenali became chief executive officer on 1 April 2026 [13].

How many housing projects has UDA completed?
In the KPKT register, 81 of the 91 housing projects under nine UDA companies are completed. Of the 35 completed projects with both a handover deadline and a completion date recorded, 9 were handed over on or before the deadline (the extended deadline where KPKT approved an extension); 14 were handed over or certified complete after it, 2 of them under construction during the 18 March–31 August 2020 movement control period; 12 received the completion certificate before the deadline, with no handover date recorded. The other 46 completed projects do not have both dates in the register.
Which company developed 38 Bangsar Residensi, and was it handed over on time?
KPKT registers it under One JSI Development Sdn Bhd (KPKT developer code 14069), and UDA Property lists it as its own project, Residensi 38 Bangsar [4][11]. The first sale agreement was signed on 21 September 2021; the handover deadline of 21 September 2024 was extended with approval by 12 months to 21 September 2025. The register records the CCC on 8 September 2025 and handover on 17 September 2025, 4 days before the extended deadline.
Who develops The Stride Strata Office?
BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, the developer of Bukit Bintang City Centre, lists The Stride Strata Office on its website [16]. According to The Edge in 2015, UDA and EcoWorld each hold 40% of BBCC Development and the EPF holds 20% [15], so BBCC Development's KPKT housing records are not counted on this UDA page.
