Who is Naza TTDI? The company behind the projects
Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd is the property arm of the Naza Group [1][3]. Its history goes back to Taman Tun Dr Ismail, a 662-acre township in Kuala Lumpur started in 1973; according to the company's timeline, UDA Sea Park Sdn Bhd changed its name to TTDI Development Sdn Bhd, which the Naza Group later acquired and renamed Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd [1]. It is a private company and is not listed, and its headquarters is in Shah Alam, Selangor [1]. Its board is chaired by Dato' Jasmy Ismail; SM Faliq SM Nasimuddin, deputy group chairman of Naza Corporation Holdings, is its executive advisor [1].
Its largest project is KL Metropolis, 75.5 acres off Jalan Duta in Kuala Lumpur, with a gross development value reported at RM20 billion in 2020 [9][3]. It is developed by TTDI KL Metropolis Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned Naza TTDI subsidiary, which has brought in partners for some plots — the March 2020 agreement with EXSIM Development was Naza TTDI's fourth such joint venture in four years [3]. The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) at KL Metropolis served as the key venue of the 2017 SEA Games, according to the company [1].
