Who is Magna Prima? The company behind the projects

Magna Prima was incorporated in Malaysia on 5 December 1995 as a private company and took its present name when it was listed on Bursa Malaysia on 16 January 1997 [2]; it trades on the Main Market as MAGNA (7617) [1]. It is an investment holding company whose subsidiaries develop property and provide construction, trading and management services [2]. Its business address is in Seksyen U1, Shah Alam; the independent non-executive chairman is Dato' Sri Hj Wan Adnan bin Wan Mamat and the managing director, since 20 November 2024, is Dato' Seah Ley Hong [1].

At 31 March 2026, Magna Prima's largest shareholder was Hallson Holdings Sdn Bhd with 54.96%; Seah Ley Hong and Dato' Sri Wong Sze Chien are both deemed interested in that same 54.96% stake through Hallson Holdings, and Prisma Pelangi Sdn Bhd held 20.12% [1]. Wong is the group executive chairman of the Armani Group [4], and Magna Prima's 2025 annual report names him and Dato' Sri Azlan bin Azmi as directors of its subsidiary Magna Park Sdn Bhd [1]. On Jalan Ampang, Magna Prima owns the land of Armani Hallson KLCC and the Armani Group holds the development rights [4]; Magna Prima describes the project as a joint venture with Armani Hallson KLCC Sdn Bhd [1].

Armani Residence @ Kepong, the project on PropertySifu, is registered with KPKT under Magna Park Sdn Bhd, which Magna Prima owns through Magna Prima Development Sdn Bhd [1]. Magna Prima's 2025 annual report calls it the Kepong Phase 2D project, 306 serviced apartments on about 0.9 acres [1], and the Armani Group also lists it among its developments [5]. Magna Park's earlier KPKT projects are Metro Prima in Kuala Lumpur and Magnaville Selayang in Gombak, completed in 2009 and 2010.

The KPKT table and its totals cover only the four companies in Magna Prima's 2025 list of subsidiaries [1]. Two former subsidiaries also built housing projects: Magna City Development Sdn Bhd, deemed disposed of in August 2021, and Monetary Icon (M) Sdn Bhd, sold in May 2022 [3]; those projects are outside the table and are not part of the 6 projects above. The 2025 annual report also features Residensi Armani in Seksyen 13, Shah Alam, and a site of about 20 acres in Seksyen 15 planned with OCR Avenue Sdn Bhd [1]; neither is registered with KPKT under the subsidiaries counted here.
