Waz Lian Group commenced operations in 1987 with club management before moving into hotel and resort management and property development, The Edge reported in 2010 [1]. Its founder and chairman, Tan Sri Ta Kin Yan, died on 15 June 2024 at the age of 72 [4]; he was also the founder and chairman of Majestic Gen Sdn Bhd [3]. In 2010 The Edge named Sejagat Emas Sdn Bhd as a group subsidiary working on the Jewellery @ Section 7 Shah Alam project with PKNS [1]; KPKT registers that project, 28 bungalows with a CFO dated 25 July 2011, under Sejagat Emas (M) Sdn Bhd.
Majestic Gen began in 2005 as Majestic Group, set up by Tan Sri Ta for land investment, The Edge reported in 2024 [2]; the company says it was formerly known as Majestic Builders and took its current name in February 2024 [5]. In 2024 the company reported 25 completed projects with a GDV of RM1.7 billion, and said its property investment division owned 14 hotels under Sentral Group Hotel [2].
