Who is MRCB? The company behind the projects
Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad was incorporated on 21 August 1968 and became a public company on 28 June 1969; it has been listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia since 22 March 1971, under stock code 1651 [1]. At 13 March 2026 its substantial shareholders were the Employees Provident Fund (36.21%), Gapurna Sdn Bhd (15.48%) and Lembaga Tabung Haji (5.35%) [1]. Its registered office is at Menara NU 2 in KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur [1].
The group works in property development and investment as well as engineering and construction, and its developments include the KL Sentral business district around KL Sentral station [1]. The company says it has interests in 1,228 acres of development land with an estimated gross development value of about RM33 billion, mostly in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, with a growing presence in Penang and Perak and land in Johor; it has also completed two residential projects in Melbourne, Australia [1]. Tujuh Residence in Kwasa Damansara, registered as RESIDENSI TUJUH (30179-1, 573 serviced apartments), is developed by Kwasa Sentral Sdn Bhd, owned 70% by MRCB and 30% by Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd [2][4]. MRCB says it is its first residential development built with its own MRCB Building System (MBS) modular construction technology, with a gross development value of RM385 million [1].
