MKH started in Kajang in 1979 as Srijang Bena Sdn Bhd, building its first residential township that year, its first high-rise in 1993 and Kajang's first shopping complex in 1994 ^[5]. On its listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in 1995 it became Metro Kajang Holdings Berhad, and it was renamed MKH Berhad in 2011 ^[5]; its stock name is MKH and its code 6114 ^[4]. The registered office is at Wisma MKH in Kajang ^[4]. Besides property development, MKH trades building materials, holds investment properties and, since 2008, runs oil palm plantations in East Kalimantan, Indonesia ^[5].

MKH says it has completed more than 59 property projects (2025 annual report) ^[3]. That is the company's own count; the KPKT register lists each licensed phase separately, which gives the 86 projects under 22 MKH companies above. Several of these companies are not wholly owned: the 2025 annual report gives MKH 65% of Danau Saujana, 55% of Vista Haruman Development, 85% of Achieve Acres, 51% of MKH Property Ventures, and about 50% of Quantum Density and Temara Pekeliling ^[1].

Of the MKH projects on PropertySifu, Nexus Residences in Cheras is developed by MKH Development Sdn Bhd, Residensi Naluri by Danau Saujana Sdn Bhd, Saville @ Cheras by Vista Haruman Development Sdn Bhd and Saville D'Lake by Achieve Acres Sdn Bhd ^[1]. Jernih Residence in Kajang is a separate case: its developer, Daksina Harta Sdn Bhd, was set up in 2018 as a joint venture in which Sunway holds 60% and MKH 40% ^[12], and MKH's 2025 annual report lists it as a 40% associate ^[2]; it is not counted in the table above.

In 2026 Batu Kawan Bhd, through its wholly owned Whitmore Holdings, agreed to buy a combined 47.7% of MKH at RM2 a share from Chen Choy & Sons Realty Sdn Bhd and related parties ^[10], which led to a general offer for the remaining shares. When the offer closed on 8 October 2026 the offerors held 96.73%; trading in MKH shares was suspended from 16 October 2026, and the offerors said they would take steps to withdraw MKH's listing ^[9]. Group Executive Chairman Tan Sri Dato' Chen Kooi Chiew @ Cheng Ngi Chong, a director since 1979, and Group Managing Director Tan Sri Datuk Chen Lok Loi resigned on 19 August 2026 ahead of the offer's first closing date ^[6][7]; the same day Lee Wen Ling, managing director of KLK Land, joined the board as a non-executive director ^[8].
