Who is Ekovest? The company behind the projects
Ekovest's founders started Ekovest Bina Sdn Bhd on 2 January 1985; it later became Ekovest Sdn Bhd, was converted into Ekovest Berhad on 28 August 1992 and was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange on 9 August 1993 [2]. It trades on Bursa Malaysia's Main Market in the construction sector, under stock code 8877 [1]. The group executive chairman, since 8 February 2021, is Tan Sri Dato' Lim Kang Hoo, who has been with Ekovest since 1988 [1].
Besides construction, the group's subsidiaries run the Duta–Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) and the Setiawangsa–Pantai Expressway, develop and invest in property, and hold a 62% stake in PLS Plantations Berhad [1]. Ekovest's property page lists two projects, both in Kuala Lumpur: EkoCheras, completed, and EkoTitiwangsa, under way [3].
